Clark County hosts its own public college featuring a variety of Associate, Bachelor and certificate programs for about 8,700 students in specialties ranging from dentistry to mechatronics. It serves about 1,600 high school juniors and seniors who take courses earning college credit through the Running Start program.

WSU Vancouver
Clark County is home to the Vancouver campus of Washington State University, the metro area’s only Tier One research institution. The commuter-style campus serves 2,800 students studying digital arts and education to life sciences and engineering. About 95 percent educated here stay here for their career.

Clark County serves as home for the statewide School for the Blind, preparing those with visual impairments for careers and life. Vancouver also is home to the State School for the Deaf. Both programs began in 1886.

Specialized Learning

Specialized Learning
Clark County loves specialized learning environments. We are home to the Cascadia Tech Academy, the state’s first career and technical learning campus since 1983. We host the healthcare-themed Henrietta Lacks High School (Hela High) since 2013. We host Vancouver’s iTech Preparatory since 2019. We host the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics since 1929.

Clark County offers a range of private educational opportunities led by Kings Way High School, Seton Catholic College Prep and Cornerstone Christian. We’re also home to the International Air and Hospitality Academy, which trains people for airlines, culinary arts, renewable energy and as railroad engineers.
